Your itinerary

Day 1
Arrival Day in Kathmandu

Welcome upon your arrival to the city of temples. You will receive a warm welcome at the Tribhuvan International Airport. You will then check-in to your hotel and get a detailed plan of your trek. You will get your permits this day and meet fellow travelers, guides, and porters. Make sure to bring necessary documents like passport, copies of photos, travel insurance policy, etc.

Trek Preparation and Kathmandu Valley Exploration
Trek Preparation and Kathmandu Valley Exploration
You’ll have a full day exploring Kathmandu Valley. On this trip, you will visit UNESCO enlisted World Heritage sites. It includes Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, and Boudhanath. Not to forget this is also your prep day. You need to be ready for your journey the next day. Thus, pack your bags with all the necessary stuff and gears. If you are missing something, then you can buy them from hubs like Thamel.
Day 3
Drive From Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1460m)
Drive From Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1460m)
You will leave the capital and head towards the Langtang region. Syabrubesi is the starting point of this trek. And it will take about 7-8 hours of ride to get there. You will take a private jeep to your destination. This ride is going to be full of twists and turns and numerous switchbacks. But the breathtaking views of the Trishuli river and the whole Langtang region will relax you.
Day 4
Trek to Gatlang (2240m)

The journey will begin with an uphill ascent up to a ridge. The tophill section would provide fabulous views of the mountain ranges like Langtang Lirung and other natural scenery. You can also visit a colorful stupa located there. Along with this, you pass via villages like Goljung and then Gatlang. They both are typical Tamang villages and showcase traditional cultures & architecture. You can visit Tamang traditional monastery and Parvatikunfda there.
Day 5

Trek to Tatopani (2607m)
Another day of trekking where you’ll be walking for about 4-5 hours. You begin the day with downhill and passthrough some stupas, gompas, and mani walls. You then reach Chilime from where views of the Langtang range and Ganesh Himal appears great. On your way, you also walk past dense forests before Tatopani. Tatopani is famous for refreshing hot water baths where you can also soak into its local traditional & cultural charm.

As you proceed towards Thuman from Tatopani, you’ll be crossing via the highest point of this trek. And it is Nagthali Gyang or Nagthali Danda that has an altitude of 3165m. You start by ascending this ride. As you reach its peaks, a panoramic view of Langtang Lirung welcomes you. Then, after descending for a few hours, you reach Thuman. Thuman is a charming Tamang village that flaunts traditional culture and incredible mountainous views.
Day 7
 Thuman to Briddim (2229m) via Lingling
Thuman to Briddim (2229m) via Lingling
Following the trails through colorful rhododendron forest, you descend towards flatter terrains. The route you’ll follow reminisce the old trade route to Tibet. So, you can expect to watch the Tibetan influenced community and their typical lifestyle. Continuing with the stone steps, you will reach Briddim within 5-6 hours. A Tibetan Buddhist village, Briddim features unique settlements and various short side trips.
Day 8
Briddim to Syabrubesi (1467m)

Here comes the final stretch of your Tamang Heritage Trek. Leaving Briddim, you continue along the descending trails. If you wish, you can explore Briddim’s monasteries & nearby spots and then begin the journey to Briddim. It is going to be an easy walk of three hours where you’ll enjoy panoramic views. You pass via Kanjhim gaon before reaching Syabrubesi for the final overnight stay.
Day 9
 Drive Back to Kathmandu
Drive Back to Kathmandu
Instead of returning to Dhunche the last day, you can trek to other destinations. Syabrubesi, Gopte, Helambu, Langtang Valley are some of your options. So, if you plan to explore more in this spectacular region, you got a list of backups. But, if you have limited time, follow this itinerary. This day, you will drive back and trader to your hotel. You are free to enjoy your leisure time afterward.
