Welcome to the country of culture & religion! Our representative will pick you from the airport upon your arrival and transfer you to the booked hotel. We will make sure you have a comfortable stay while you’re here. After some rest at your hotel, later on, you can visit nearby hubs like Thamel and Basantapur. Meanwhile, we also request to have all the necessary documents like passports, photos, and travel insurance with you.

Whenever you’re in Kathmandu, you can’t miss the cultural sightseeing. Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, is a hubspot to explore ancient culture and artifacts. In the past, people believed this capital city to have temples more than houses and idols more than actually living humans. Having said that, Kathmandu also has seven beautiful places that are enlisted in UNESCO's world heritage sites.

Take Flight or Drive to Lumbini
You will begin your tour officially this day as you head towards Lumbini. You have two options to get there. One is to take a flight from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa that will take around 30 minutes. From there, you’ll have to take another half-an-hour ride to Lumbini. While the next option is to drive to Lumbini from the capital. It would take around 7-8 hours as you cover the total distance of 321 kilometers.

Now, you’re in the wonderland of Lumbini, another UNESCO World Heritage site of Nepal. On this day, you will explore the whole Lumbini as much as you can. As mentioned in our detail, there’re many amazing gardens, monasteries, museum, and a World Peace Pagoda. You will visit Mayadevi temple, Ashoka Pillar, and Eternal Flame that dates back to 3rd BC to 12 AD.

Visit Tilaurakot/Kapilvastu and Explore Archaeological Sites
Your Lumbini Religious Tour would be incomplete without visiting the archaeological sites of Tilaurakot or ancient Kapilvastu. This place was the actual home of Gautam Buddha and was then the capital of Shakyas. Here, you can find reminiscences of an antique palace where Buddha spent his first 29 years. You can also go to sites around Gotihawa, Kudan, Niglihara, and Sagarhawa, holding significant stories of Shakyas.

 Visit Devdaha-Ramagram. Back to Kathmandu

On the last day of your tour in Lumbini, you will visit Devdaha and Ramagram. You will take a ride there. Devadaha was the maternal home of Siddhartha Gautam where he spent most of his childhood. Devdaha was also the ancient capital of the Koliya kingdom, which was then an important assembly of Sakyas. You can encounter several stupas with relics of Lord Buddha.
