Your itinerary

Day 1
Arrival Day in Kathmandu
Arrival Day in Kathmandu
Welcome upon your arrival to the city of temples. You will receive a warm welcome at the Tribhuvan International Airport. You will then check-in to your hotel and get a detailed plan of your trek. You will get your permits this day and meet fellow travelers, guides, and porters. Make sure to bring necessary documents like passport, copies of photos, travel insurance policy, etc.

Kathmandu Valley Exploration
Kathmandu Valley Exploration
You’ll have a full day exploring Kathmandu Valley. On this trip, you will visit UNESCO enlisted World Heritage sites. It includes Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, and Boudhanath. It will be a fun day exploring these awesome places and knowing the cultural history behind their existence.
Day 3
Drive From Kathmandu to Dhunge and Trek to Sailung/Khola Kharka (2950m)
Drive From Kathmandu to Dhunge and Trek to Sailung/Khola Kharka (2950m)
Your journey will begin with a five-hour-long drive towards Dhunge. You will begin the ride early in the morning. Upon reaching Dhunge, you will begin your trek toward the first stop i.e. Sailung. Sailung would be a perfect destination to witness Tamang and Sherpa culture. You will get an overview of your whole journey in your first overnight.

Visit Thulo Sailung and Rajveer Environs
Visit Thulo Sailung and Rajveer Environs
Sailung is a beautiful settlement that offers many scenic views as well as holds many outstanding spots. So, it would be a great idea to stay here an extra day and explore the suburbs. Thus, following the trail, you’ll visit Thulo Sailung, famous for views of Annapurna, Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and Everest. Along with the amazing scenery, Thulo Sailung is also the territorial deity of Tamang. So, this day will be a perfect treat to enjoy the natural and cultural specialty of the region.

Trek From Sailung - Rajveer - Surkey(1840m)
Trek From Sailung - Rajveer - Surkey(1840m)
Leaving Sailung village, you will head your pathway towards Rajveer Monastery. On the way, you will pass via thick alpine forests and terraced fields. You will also pas via Sherpa villages like Dadhuwa-Dara. Continuing your journey, you will reach Surkey within 4-5 hours. Surkey is a beautifully terraced village where the local community of Thami lives. You will get an immense chance to understand their lifestyle and native culture.
Day 6
Trek to Khandadevi (2000m)
Trek to Khandadevi (2000m)
Now, your trip will head further towards Khandadevi village. This settlement features a captivating Hindu temple of Goddess Khada Devi made with ancient sacred stone. On the way there, you will pass via Thami settlements like Doramba valley. The bustling Doramba bazaar is a famous hub where you can purchase some typical souvenirs. This day, you will walk about 5-6 hours to reach Khandadevi for your overnight stay.

Trek From Khandadevi to Hiledevi/Dongme (1980m)
Trek From Khandadevi to Hiledevi/Dongme (1980m)
After exploring Khandadevi, you will follow the ridge from where you’ll view gorgeous snow-capped Himalayan peaks. Walking along with thick alpine forests, you can encounter a Shiva temple made of an enormous rock. After a few hours, you will reach Dongme, an ancient Yolmo settlement, inhabited by a typical Lama community. Here, you will traverse into a local collection of Buddhist scripture, Bodhgaya’s photos, and fabulous Thanka paintings. Overnight at Dongme!

Trek From Hiledevi to Lupughat (820m)
Continuing your cultural tour, you will make a gradual climb to the ridge of Sunapati. It is a perfect spot for spectacular sunrises and sunsets. You can also visit unique Buddhist chortens and Hindu shrines. Afterward, you will descend to Lupughat village. In this small village, you will meet the Majhi community who will serve you some delicious fish recipes. In the end, you can enjoy their traditional dances and fishing too.
Day 9
Drive From Lupughat to Kathmandu via Dhulikhel
Drive From Lupughat to Kathmandu via Dhulikhel
You will spend your last night at Lupughat. So, the next day you will leave for Kathmandu. You will wake up early and walk for 45 minutes through the Neaplthowk valley. From there, you will drive back to Kathmandu via Dhulikhel in a private vehicle. You will stay overnight at Kathmandu in a three-star hotel.
